Hi everyone,

Rosanna Fire Station Community House (RFSCH) will slowly be opening, and we look forward to welcoming you back to RFSCH for face to face class delivery. We have been working on a modified version of our regular programs (details below).

We have been following guidelines on how we can stay healthy during this time and we have followed this advice as we prepare to transition back to face to face delivery.

Things will look different for quite some time at the House. We will require each person to sign in and out (details below), use hand hygiene stations, adhere to the reduced limits in each room and maintain social distancing.

To minimise the risk of infection from the COVID-19 virus, the following measures have been taken:

  • We are prepared with sanitisers and masking tape has been placed on the floors to indicate where people are required to stand.
  • Entry will be from the front door and exit will be via the rear door.
  • Please observe the signs around the House, in each room and in the toilets in regard to hygiene and safety guidelines.
  • Physical distancing between participants of no less than 1.5 metres must be adhered to at all times.
  • We have reconfigured the rooms and other areas in the House to meet this requirement.
  • All people entering the House are required to sanitise their hands upon entry and regularly throughout the day.
  • The House will be professionally cleaned and sanitised regularly with particular attention to the high touch areas and equipment using appropriate sanitisers. Teachers/Facilitators and participants will be directed to sanitise their workspace following each class.
  • Wash and/or sanitise hands after signing in.
  • All equipment i.e. tables &chairs must be sanitised before and after use by the user group.
  • Hallways are a no standing zone. They are a means to get from point A to Point B.
  • Avoid placing personal items such as mobile phones on the tables.
  • Cashless transactions will be preferred.
  • If you are sick or not feeling well, you must stay home. If you do come to class and appear unwell you may be asked to go home. If you cannot leave you may be isolated and be required to wear a mask until you are able to leave.
  • If you have been tested for COVID-19 you must stay home until you receive your results and self-isolate as required.
  • The kitchen will be closed and there will be no access to taps or fridge facilities. Each participant will need to provide and store their own refreshments. Bring a thermos with your tea/coffee.

SWIPEDON – SIGN IN OUT NEW APP

Please enter the House through the front door only and exit via the rear door only (from the ramp door).

We have installed the Swipedon Visitors App.  There are two options to sign in and out of the building.

To be signed in manually, when you arrive at the House please make your way to Reception who will then be able to sign you into the House. Please remember to go back to Reception to sign out at the end of your visit.

The contactless sign in feature provides a hygienic, touch free way to register reducing the need for interaction. You can easily sign in by scanning the QR code on your mobile device, where you will be prompted to complete the registration on your own device via a browser application (please see below for instructions)

A copy of the QR scan has been placed at the front door so visitors can scan and fill in the details before entering the building. Visitors can choose to use contactless sign in as follows:

For Iphones:

  1. Open up the camera and hold over the QR code (image below).
  2. Click on the popup message that says “Open Swipedon.com” in Safari.
  3. Follow the prompts to sign (details below).

For Android devices:

If you have an Android Smartphone, you can use QR scanner apps for accessing content linked to QR codes. Free Apps such as Google LensQR code reader or QR & Barcode Reader are all free and available via the Google Play store on android devices. One of these APPS will need to be downloaded and then follow the steps below:

Open the QR scanner app and hold over the QR code below.

Click on the popup message that says “Open Swipedon.com” in Safari.

Follow the prompts to sign in (details below).

Enter your full name
Class Attending (enter the name of the class or if visiting a staff member enter OFFICE.
Enter email address
Enter phone number
Answer Yes/No to the 4 questions

Read and Sign the Agreement
The visitor will then be asked to read the agreement and *sign (with their finger) and then press the agree button.

*If the staff member is signing the visitor in then they can ask the visitor to read the agreement and ask to confirm and when they say yes the staff member can sign on their behalf and press agree.

Who are you seeing today
The last screen will ask who the visitor is seeing today. Select the name of the person they are visiting.

  • Please remember to open the App and sign out at the end of your visit.
  • Please exit via the rear door (from the ramp door).
  • As the gate is locked on the weekends, participants can leave from the front door one at a time with the required social distancing of 1.5 metres.

CHILDCARE DAYS & TIMES FROM 13 JULY 2020

We are so happy to announce that we will commence full time childcare in Term 3 from Monday, 13th July.

Our centre provides a quality programme based on the children’s interest with a focus on creative activities. Including a safe yet adventurous outdoor play area that encourages imaginative play.

We are a Child Care Subsidy approved provider. Please note we have a concession rate available for families who are ineligible to receive the CCS.

TAX HELP PROGRAM

Lodge your Tax Return at NO COST with the help of our Australian Tax Office Volunteer here at Rosanna Fire Station Community House. Available for people earning less than $60,000/year.

Appointments are available on a Friday commencing mid-July to October 2020. Contact us on 9458 1935 or email office@rfsch.org.au to make an appointment.

Am I eligible for Tax Help?
You are eligible for Tax Help in 2019-20 if your income is around $60,000 or less for the income year and you did not:
• work as a contractor
• run a business, including as a sole trader
• have partnership or trust matters
• sell shares or an investment property
• own a rental property
• have capital gains tax (CGT)
• receive royalties
• receive distributions from a trust, other than a managed fund
• receive foreign income, other than a foreign pension or annuity.

What can volunteers help you with?
Volunteers can help you lodge your tax return or amendment online or claim a refund of franking credits.

If our volunteers work out that you don’t need to lodge a tax return, they can help you complete a non-lodgment advice.

If you’re eligible for Tax Help, you will need a myGov account linked to the ATO. If necessary, our volunteers can help you create your myGov account and link to the ATO.

ONLINE PROGRAMS VIA ZOOM

From the beginning of Term 3, Monday., 13th July we will be offering the following programs online (details below).

What do I need to do an online course?
You need a computer or device with an internet connection and webcam. You may wish to use headphones but they are not essential. Programs are conducted online via Zoom, which can be accessed in your web browser or by downloading the Zoom App. Sessions are password protected and can only be accessed by participants enrolled in the program. You will receive login instructions after you enrol. The sessions are live and interactive and will be running at the times and dates specified.
